From this week I’m going to start focusing more on building my butt. I’ve been training hard for the past 11 months and feel like some of my body parts need more work than others now. My backside being one of them.
I also read a very interesting article on the Roman Fitness System. He tends to agree that butt’s are on of our more important assets. Therefore I have decided to start more glute focused exercises in my workout.
In the past I’ve been doing a lot of walking lunges. ‘Forward lunges place a lot more emphasis on the section of the quadriceps at the base of the knee–most specifically the vastus medialus’. Whereas backward lunges allows your glutes and back quads to catch you as you go backwards.
I generally also don’t really like squats… I always feel like I’m doing it all wrong. I also try and go really heavy but then I don’t do it properly, as I don’t complete the full range of motion. Today I went a bit lighter and went down as far and as was safe for my knees, and I could really feel the burn in my butt. I also did wide stance squats that puts more pressure on your backside and that’s exactly what I wanted 😀
Here’s what I did….
